Rocío Sánchez Ruiz

Rocío Sánchez Ruiz is a PhD in Political Science and has been granted a scholarship funded by a UCM–Santander contract at the Department of Political Science and Administration of the Complutense University of Madrid. Her doctoral thesis examines the formulation, design, and implementation of protocols against sexual and sexist harassment in Spanish universities, with particular attention to the resistances and counter-resistances that emerge during their implementation.She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Political Analysis from the Complutense University of Madrid, a University Expert Diploma in Gender Impact Evaluation from UNED, and a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training.

She has undertaken a predoctoral research stay at the Department of Social Work of the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and has presented her doctoral research at national and international conferences such as the European Conference on Gender and Politics (ECPG), the Feministiskt Seminarium i Sociologi (FEMSEM), and the XVII Congress of the Spanish Political Science Association (AECPA), among others.

Her research interests focus on the implementation of equality policies, resistances to gender equality policies in academia, intersectionality, and educational policies.
